Hear hear to Star Aasved’s comment, that Judge Luttig indeed carries the mantle of We the People, to declare the truth.
To first read the words of Alexander Hamilton, and then move onto the 26 grievances, perfectly articulated and all authentic, < unfortunately, > real, irrefutable….
I’ve been enjoying HAMILTON the musical on the big screen which debuted 9/5 in our area. There are extra portions of video, featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda and cast members, designed specifically for the theater audience.
The entire experience is spectacular, and you’re so close, you’re right there on stage so that you can catch every single word, not easy to do when in the audience for the stage production… Unless of course you have the entire play memorized.
(A person can come to see this movie with no preparation whatsoever and while it may be a bit overwhelming, they can get it the first time around, like any movie and then they may come back for more… Whereas with the stage production, often people remarked that they had to do some prep, to be acquainted not just with the music, but mainly the words because it’s so rapid fire in real time.
Obviously, the themes of the entire production mesh inextricably with the theme of this post here today.
One of my purposes in seeing HAMILTON the Movie several times was because our family has some history with it… my husband who has passed, the grandson we raised (were his legal guardians), now 19… And I find that the music becomes a soundtrack in my head ongoing during the day, and when I wake up, giving me such a feeling of uplift and screening out some of the noise from the world, and also from family strife which comes and goes, but is always waiting in the wings, if not in your face, was the reason for the guardianship of the grandson.
I can tell you right now which song is playing in my head… 🎶Take a Break. Earlier today it was (…wait for it…. drumroll …): “Wait for It!”
(couldn’t resist… I live in a third grade bubble… You know, third grade jokes? They’re the best!)
And experiencing the diversity of the gifted cast is just beautiful to witness, to revel in, to interface with who We the People of this nation are!
The run of the movie ends this next Wednesday at our closest theater, but whatever is going on with it in your area… Don’t miss it!
I wonder if Judge Luttig has seen it…. And then, as he leaves the theater of the musical or the movie, there’s a slight spring in his step, a hint of a smile, and you realize there’s a little rap running through his head. Maybe not far-fetched?
Thanks to Judge Luttig for so clearly describing the long list of anti-Constitutional and thus unlawful actions of our wanna-be dictator President. It’s powerful to see a cohesive list of the damage he has done in just a few months of his term.
Once again, Judge Luttig carries the mantle of “we the people” to declare the truth. Thank you, sir.

I loved Hamilton.
