Clearly, the founding fathers intended the nation to be characterized by the values of fairness, justice, equality, freedom from oppression, freedom for self-determination, respect for humanity, collective action for the common good, and empathy. Based on the collective actions, executive orders, policies, and the budget reconciliation bill, the national character is transformed into favoritism, bias, unequal distribution of burdens and benefits, disrespect, prejudice, freedom for the privileged, and exploitation for extreme self-interest and collective narcissism. Thank you for your clear, compelling, unadulterated commentary on the founding of our nation.

A clearer picture of Trump and the GOP’s failures could not be made. Thank you, judge Luttig!

During Trump’s last term, we documented all his abuses during his first year. This is not new, he’s just gotten more frantic and desperate as his time in this planet to celebrate his sins is sorely limited:

It will be as it ever was. He’s playing with fire and he’s going to get burned. Hopefully it will be informative to Americans, and not our downfall from embarrassment and inaction. There will be a call to vote and to arms. Be prepared.

We need a new gathering of our most articulate voices to have a meeting/convention to reaffirm, modify, enhance our constitution in the face of this corruption of our democracy. Judge Michael Luttig should be the guiding chair of this crucial endeavor. I suggest such voices as Pete Buddegiege, Elissa Slotkin, senator Murphy, AOC, Jasmine Crockett, Cory Booker, Bedo O’Rourke, Gov. Pritzker and others who speak to our country’s need.

Thank you Judge Lettig. I really appreciated the summary of the Constitution. I do not understand how the current Supreme Court can allow the president to violate the law and not be held responsible. A simple decision and our society of laws is overthrown. It is bad now, and will only get worse.

I read the posting by Judge Luttig and at each section I was struck by the state of the SCOTUS. I know Republicans serving in government have disregarded the oath they swore upon taking office, but that the purported highest level of law has been politically corrupted is astounding. I am not a lawyer, only the mother of one, and it is clear to me the majority members of the Supreme Court have a compromised view.

I have sent Judge Luttig’s post to many friends and family and also subscribed to the Substack account for Judge Luttig.

Only a few days ago, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's dissent - "The Founders of the United States of America squarely rejected a governing system in which the King ruled all and all others, including the courts were his subordinates. In our Constitution-centered system, the People are the rulers and we have rule of law.." - until we don't

Thank you, Judge Luttig, for these clear associations of what is happening today to occurrences prior to July 4, 1776. May it open eyes and hearts to stand up and speak out against the tyrannical administration of Donald Trump.

For many years, we have paid far too little attention to nominations to the Supreme Court. Imagine how differently we might be situated now if Judge Luttig had been the Chief Justice for the past fifteen years, instead of the puppet of Putin’s puppet.

Praying that the Judge remains in the "town square" and his voice doesnt fade ... his sane wisdom, integrity, and character - with the power enumerated thru and by - are more essential by our modern American citizenry with every tick of the clock. Thank you Judge. And thank you Ryan for "some nudging" - keep nudging please.
