We are being held hostage by a madman who has been demoted to figurehead of a criminal enterprise under the false cover of “government.” It is a dangerous and very sad time.

I have nothing but contempt for the people who could have stopped this and didn't.

I am so bloody furious. I read a post by Pete Buttigieg who said this is not permanent. But neither was Nazi Germany. We must rally.

One of the great things about this new chapter of yours is that you get to have a strong point of view, which in this case is stirring. The federal workforce has been gutted. Chaos with our closest allies over tariffs, Greenland. And now chaos in the streets because Stephen Miller needed 14,000 more deportees that day. And it’s not only that people are being killed on the street; their killings are corruptly covered up with no investigations. Maybe because Pretti was legally carrying a gun, the right will defend him like Kyle Rittenhouse

No, Ryan. We should be livid. We should not be afraid. Fear is their weapon against us. It is as deadly as a gun. We must use our agency to hammer on our Dem reps in the House and Senate to shut the fucking country down for the duration. Now. Get ICE under control. Impeach Kristi Noem. No masks. No chemicals against protesters. No refusing to work with local and state police to investigate these murders. ICE's impunity that they are above the law needs to be checked: they have no right to terrorize Americans, citizens or not. If we do not fight with every lever of power Dems have and to protest peacefully, we will be complicit. The businesses that equip them (Amazon), the restaurants that serve them, the hotels that board them, the car rentals who drive them, must be put on notice: we will boycott and protest you until you stop enabling these federal thugs. If we don't do these things, then we don't deserve to have a democracy any more. Do not be afraid.

Saw that CNN chryon during Sara Sider's reporting this morning and found it appalling. I appreciate that you noticed that and called it out.

Well put as always. Terrifying indeed.

I keep wondering: what is their endgame? And what can I do to resist short of dying?

Thank you from South Minneapolis! Until now, the only clear reports of yesterday's killing (which is easily understood by looking at the videos and from witness reports) is coming from local news and some international.

And of course, the same people claiming the very presence of his weapon made him a terrorist are the biggest Second Amendment nuts, the “best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun” crowd. So which is it? Should we all be carrying concealed weapons into the grocery store or does having one mean ICE can execute us on the spot?

Where is the mass march on Washington? Where is our Congress? Democrats now stirring a bit but this behavior should draw bipartisan outrage.

All ten of you should get to Minneapolis now! So what if it’s -6. You’ll feel better than you would lying in the sand at some Caribbean beach.

It’s become crystal clear that we can no longer trust our own government’s word, and it’s a bitter, sad pill to swallow. Nothing has pointed this out more graphically than listening to the obvious lies Noem, Bovino, and Bondi have told about the two recent executions of American citizens in Minneapolis. Their lies are stupid and desperate. They insult our intelligence. Do they not know that the citizenry of Minneapolis is documenting every move these ICE agents make? Did they not understand that their false narratives could be easily debunked by videos and eye witness testimony? Apparently not.

Bondi let the cat out of the bag with her very ill advised shakedown letter to Walz. The Minneapolis torture was never about immigration. It was yet another Trump payback and if people had to die or live in terror so be it. I see the tide turning on this revenge operation. Trump and his regime have backed themselves into a corner they can’t escape from. Americans know the truth, if there was any doubt before this latest murder. I may be too optimistic but if past is prologue I expect them to find a way out of Minnesota soon. Trump hates hot potatoes and this situation has become much too hot for him. An implausible explanation will be offered and they’ll move on to try and fight another day. Good luck there.

RESIST!!! We must peacefully resist, even though there is risk. Some of us will undoubtedly be killed before this is over. Nonetheless, RESIST!
