Happy Fourth of July!
We have something special for you today, on this 249th anniversary of America's birth: an audio version of the remarkable piece that my friend Judge J. Michael Luttig wrote for Telos News this week: “The Self-Evident Truths of Freedom—and of Tyranny.”
The response to Judge Luttig’s piece has been incredible, and I asked him to record it in his own voice so that it could be shared even more widely.
Many American families read the Declaration of Independence aloud on this day, and it’s my hope that this year, some of you might also listen to Judge Luttig’s piece, an ambitious attempt to connect the words of our Founders from 1776 to what is happening here in America today.
